Beyond The Trophy: Get to know Lehigh Chapter leader and quarterback Dante Perri
Each week during the college football season we will feature a player who is an officer of an Uplifting Athletes Chapter for our Beyond the Trophy series.
Lehigh Chapter leader
Sophomore QB No. 12 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Get To Know Dante Perri: The sophomore volunteered to become a chapter leader in 2021 following a year where the COVID-19 pandemic prevented Uplifting Athletes from holding our chapter events and activities. Dante was part of the Lehigh chapter leadership team that worked to help the Mountain Hawks hold a Lift For Life event during the summer. He was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as a freshman, and during the limited spring season appeared in two games as the holder. Dante was a two-year captain for The Haverford School football team and threw for 2,400 yards and 24 touchdowns his final season. He also played basketball and was on the 2019 state champion squad. Dante is the latest member of the Perri family to play college sports, his sister Gina rowed at Boston College, sister Tori competed in track and cross country at Penn State and older brother Freddie played football at Franklin & Marshall.

What drove you to get involved with Uplifting Athletes?
PERRI: A few upperclassmen shared their experiences in the program with me and showed me how much impact I would be able to have on others’ lives.
