Dr. Zuo is a neuroscientist and bioinformatician enthusiastic about deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying brain function and related disorders using multi-omics data. Prior to joining the Tesele Lab, she obtained a Ph.D degree in neuroscience and neurogenomics at UCLA. Her doctorial research characterized sexually divergent transcriptomic patterns in mouse brain regions following cannabis exposure during adolescence. Her postdoctoral research further extends on the topics of brain disorders and transcriptome. Outside the lab, Yanning works as a volunteer to promote the awareness of mental health and neurodiversity.
