PHILADELPHIA — Uplifting Athletes is hitting campus this fall with a new way to increase awareness for rare diseases and generate mission critical funds by partnering with name, image and likeness (NIL) merchandising company Influxer.
Through this collaboration, Uplifting Athletes and Influxer will work together to empower student-athletes across the country to make a positive impact for the more than 30 million Americans affected by a rare diagnosis. Influxer’s online team stores provide student-athletes an opportunity to earn money off the field, while also fostering a culture of giving back.
“Uplifting Athletes and Influxer both believe in the power of sport and the influential role of student-athletes” said Brett Brackett, President at Uplifting Athletes. “We are excited to partner with Influxer to provide the student-athletes we work with yet another outlet for their passion to support people impacted by rare diseases. With the support of Influxer, our chapter leaders and their teammates have a unique opportunity to continue to make a positive impact through their platforms as student-athletes.”
“Influxer is committed to empowering athletes of all levels to reach their full potential on and off the field,” said Levi Norwood, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Influxer. “Uplifting Athletes is a wonderful example of how far reaching the power of sport is and we are thrilled to support their mission critical work for those impacted by rare diseases.”
The first collaboration between Uplifting Athletes and Influxer launches today on the Influxer website, with #WeTackleRare branded t-shirt designs in select school colors. Proceeds from these shirts will go directly to Uplifting Athletes to support their mission to give back to the rare disease community through rare disease research, building next-generation leaders, and creating unique and memorable opportunities for those facing a rare diagnosis through the Uplifting Experiences program.
